The World Cross Country Championships in Poland are over, and I am now focussing on the track season.  It was an incredibly tough course and an extremely competitive field, but it was another great experience.  I had a stress reaction going into the World Championships, so I was forced to take 10 days off after the race.

I am now training in Ifrane, Morocco.  After rooming with Mo Trafeh at the Gate River Run in Florida, my wife and I decided to come train in this beautiful city.  The elevation is 5,500 feet, and there are endless soft trails through the mountains.  The amount of runners here is astonishing; they come from all over Africa and Europe to train here.  It is also the favorite training spot of the legendary El Guerrouj.

Not only is the training environment great, but the Moroccan people have been teriffic.  Some local Moroccan runners helped my wife and I rent an apartment, and have showed us the many different aspects of Moroccan cuisine.   We have had the pleasure of exploring several nearby cities in between training sessions and have enjoyed the incredible coffee and tea of the region.  I am having a great time interacting with the other runners and am training hard in preparation for the outdoor season.  I am also pleased to note that I have seen multiple Moroccan runners sporting the Brooks Nightlife equipment as well as the Burn trainers.  It's nice to see the Brooks attire becoming popular in one of the most famous training spots in the world.
